About Heather:
Heather Dawson has spent most of her life immersed in the appraisal, estate sale, and auction industry.
With extensive experience in these fields, she currently works for the online auction company, MaxSold, in their business development department. She previously worked for Everything But The House, an online estate sale company. In earlier years, Heather worked at Dawson’s Auctioneers and Appraisers in New Jersey, where she played a key role in numerous high-profile appraisals and auctions. Dawson’s Auctions involved collaboration with Sotheby’s New York, contributing to the appraisal and liquidation of a diverse
array of collectibles, jewelry, fine art, and furniture.
Heather trained under Linda J. Dawson, a prominent New Jersey auctioneer, senior member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and Appraisers Association of America (AAA), and an appraiser on Public Television’s “Antiques Roadshow.” Although Linda Dawson is now retired, she remains active in the online auction world and occasionally collaborates with Heather for consultations.
In 2018, Heather founded Heirloom Downsizing Solutions and Appraisal Services. Her company specializes in curating and managing online estate sale auctions and offers appraisals for estate planning, insurance, damage claims, probate, and divorce settlements.
Heather holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University. She completed her auctioneer licensing course at the Southeastern School of Auctioneering and her appraisal coursework with the International Society of Appraisers (ISA).
